Cognitive Organization of the Conceptosphere “Language Issue In Ukraine” (upon reader’s feedbacks)

ABSTRACT

The article represents the results of the conceptosphere LANGUAGE ISSUE IN THE UKRAINE cognitive organization analysis based on the reader’s feedbacks on Serhiy Zhadan’s interview in the periodical “Novoye Vremya”. It was outlined that the reader’s feedback in the public discourse is focused on the personal event vision and the individual interpretation of the relevant information in the interactive context. The feedback’s texts are pragmatically oriented to generate a perlocutive effect. In the cognitive-discursive analysis the associative-cognitive features and basic senses have been selected from the discourse and juxtaposed taking into consideration its actualization’s frequency in the full-text media product. It has allowed attempting the conceptosphere’s cognitive modeling. The concept LANGUAGE has been defined as the core of the conceptosphere, which links other concepts with associative-cognitive bonds. The ideological, axiological and ethnospecific conceptualization areas have been determined. Evaluative сognitive signs are revealed in Native-Foreign opposition in correlation with the concepts RUSSIAN LANGUAGE, UKRAINIAN LANGUAGE. The ideological area of the conceptosphere is formed by the concepts LANGUAGE POLICY and LAW ON LANGUAGE. Concepts RUSIFICATION and UKRAINIANISM function within the discourse as a semantic ethno-components opposition. The conseptosphere LANGUAGE ISSUE IN UKRAINE ethnospecificity can be traced in the comments as the authors’ appeal to such culturally relevant phenomena as mentality and national identity.
